Donate Life America “20 Million in 2012” Blue and Green Day! | Health

Rock Blue and Green on April 20th to show your support of organ, eye and tissue donation.  Blue and Green Day is part of Donate Life America's initiative to register 20 million new organ, eye and tissue donors in 2012 by drawing attention to this life-saving decision on both a local and a national stage. 

Americans are encouraged to wear blue and green on April 20th and post their pictures on the Donate Life America Facebook page for a chance to win $100 for the best blue and green "look."

The Terminal Tower in Cleveland will be lighting the downtown Cleveland skyline blue and green for National Donate Life Blue and Green Day. The tower will be illuminated blue and green starting 3:55 a.m the morning of Friday, April 20th and then again 5 minutes after sunset that evening. Additionally, the city of Niles has embraced the colors and will proudly display their support for organ, eye and tissue donation. The Mayor, city workers, schools and shopping malls in Niles will wear blue and green.

Legislators, celebrities, stylists, newscasters, corporations, hospital employees, and community residents across the nation will be unified in their support of blue and green, with events at designated businesses, motor vehicle agencies, municipalities, and public meeting spaces.
